Mounties Dumped, 3-1, by Anaheim
|
Phil Dumatrait was in top form in a tight contest between Anaheim and Vancouver. The Angels left-hander helped his team beat the Mounties, 3-1. Anaheim, now 93-65, holds down first place in the AL West Division.
Anaheim took a 3-0 lead on Adrian Gonzalez's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gonzalez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Vancouver pitcher Marcos Tabata visibly frustrated.
"Phil gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Anaheim manager Jalen Williams.
