Guest Cubs Win, 6-1, at Cincinnati
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Chicago first baseman Danny Dorn made his presence felt in the 6-1 Cubs triumph over the Cincinnati Reds. Dorn was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Cubs improved to 84-75.
Dorn had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 splitter from Dan Haren, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Cubs a 4-1 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Dorn.
Dorn told a Chicago Times reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
