Arenado Helps Blue Jays Defeat Spiders, 7-3
|
The Toronto Blue Jays topped the Cleveland Spiders, 7-3, with youngster Nolan Arenado playing a key role. Arenado was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Blue Jays in the win. The 'W' lifts Toronto's record to 57-93.
Left Fielder J D Drew made an impact for Toronto, when he swatted a solo home run off Kyle Allen in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Drew went 2-4 with 2 home runs.
