Angels Notch 6-3 Win Versus Red Sox
|
The Anaheim Angels defeated the Boston Red Sox, 6-3, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Chris Testa produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 1. The win was credited to Ruben Borguez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. B.J. Gonzalez took the loss. The win takes Anaheim to 10-9.
Miguel Valenzuela had a big 2-run home run for the Angels in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Anaheim trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from B.J. Gonzalez, who led the NL in wins with 18 in 2009, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Angels on top, 2-1.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Angels," said Testa.
