Los Angeles Beaten, 9-8, by Houston in 10
|
Michael Brantley led Houston to a win over Los Angeles. The final score was 9-8. Brantley collected 2 runs batted in, while going 5 for 6 at the plate. The right fielder also scored 2 times. The losses continue to mount for Los Angeles, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Brantley hit a cutter from Kyle Crowell for a run-scoring single. The Astros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Terry Francona.
