Dickerson Swings Yankees to 8-4 Win
|
New York left fielder Corey Dickerson made his presence felt in the 8-4 Yankees triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies. Dickerson hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Javy Guerra. He tossed 99 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. New York occupies first place in the AL East Division at 70-62.
In the top of the sixth, Dickerson put his team in front with his 18th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Johnny Cueto, made it 3-2, New York.
