Braves Deal Cubs 5-2 Loss
|
Atlanta rode a fine outing from starter Jason Schmidt to victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The final score was 5-2. With the win, Atlanta pushed its record to 71-56.
Esteban Armelini, the 23-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Armelini contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Atlanta up, 3-2.
"There's no quit in this team," said Braves manager Luis Quintana.
