|
The Colorado Rockies topped the Atlanta Braves, 5-0, in NL action at Coors Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Colorado pitcher Mario Santiago. Colorado, at 46-81, sits in last place in the NL West Division.
Santiago's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 6 hits. Santiago, who is tied for 7th in the NL in innings pitched with 171.2, goes to 8-11 on the year with 138 strikeouts.
