Boston Defeated By Yankees, 7-2
|
New York pitcher Macay McBride did his part in helping his team beat the Boston Red Sox, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. After today's action, New York sits at 64-60, while Boston falls to 48-77.
The Yankees got a big at-bat from center fielder Matt Kemp. For the game, Kemp was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
"Macay was electric," said New York manager Ellis Burks.
