White Sox Take Nail-Biter Over Angels
|
The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at U.S. Cellular Field, dropping the Anaheim Angels, 3-1, in 10 innings. Chris Seddon, who is tied for 10th in the AL in quality starts with 14, was the difference-maker. The third-place White Sox now have a record of 63-47.
Chicago got a knockout punch from Alcides Escobar. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Chris did a heck of a job," said Chicago manager Carlton Fisk.
