White Sox Take Tight Tangle
|
Milwaukee wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Tony Pena, falling to the Chicago White Sox, 2-1. Pena threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The loss drops the Milwaukee record to a disappointing 4-7.
Maicer Izturis was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the White Sox second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Every loss stings," said Milwaukee manager Mario Reeves. "This one is no exception."
