Championship Series Goes the Distance, Houston Prevails
|
The Houston Astros and Washington Wizards hooked up in a classic Championship Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Houston heading off to the World Series, after a 4-1 win at Minute Maid Park tonight earned the 4-3 series win.
Outside Minute Maid Park, whether they were supporters of Houston or Washington, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Jason Bartlett played the hero for the Astros in the series, as his MVP performance included a .406 batting average, with a .429 on-base percentage. He also had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Houston Astros will play against the Anaheim Angels in the next round. Anaheim won their series against the Chicago White Sox 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
