Inland Empire Wins it All
The Inland Empire 66ers pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Round 1 in a hard-fought series with the Bakersfield Blaze.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 3-1 victory at Arrowhead Credit Union Park, Inland Empire lay claim to the franchise's 2nd championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Kelly Dugan. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 88-56 and claimed first place in the California League South.

A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Inland Empire in the days to come.
