Tri-City Wins Round 2!
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats were good enough to get past the Washington Wild Things at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium today and secure the 2nd championship in franchise history.
"When you wear ValleyCats on your shirt, you're good at something," Tri-City skipper Xavier Bennett told the press.
ValleyCats second baseman Angelys Nina was named MVP of the series after he went .370 with 3 home runs and 7 RBI.
"It feels totally incredible," Nina said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment."
The new champions capped off a great season with a 3-2 victory over the Wild Things to win the Round 2 4-3.
