The Florida Marlins topped the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-4, with shortstop Troy Tulowitzki playing a big role. Tulowitzki went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Marlins in the win. The winner was Florida reliever David Robertson, now 4-2. The loser was Marc Rzepczynski. At 44-44, the Marlins are currently second in the NL East Division.
Shane Victorino, who led the NL in stolen bases with 45 in 2005, helped out the Florida cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 3 for 6 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
