BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! 4 HR for Lucroy
Fans at Petco Park won't soon forget the raw display of power put on by Arizona Firestorm catcher Jonathan Lucroy. Lucroy smashed 4 home runs in Arizona's 13-5 victory over the San Diego Padres.

"To be honest with you, I have never even thought about hitting this many home runs in a game," Lucroy said to reporters after the game. "Only legends hit this many home runs in a game and I ain't no legend."

In his history-making performance, Lucroy victimized San Diego hurlers for 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 4 runs scored and 7 RBIs.

"What he did was unbelievable," said San Diego manager Luis DeLeon. "My guys gave it their best, but he hit some fine pitches. He was like -- he was in automatic home run mode today. He just had that great swing. It didn't matter what we threw him. It was gone."

Jonathan Lucroy hit a three-run home run off Ian Kennedy in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ian Kennedy in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Edgar Ibarra in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Calvin Medlock in the 8th.

At present, Lucroy is batting .292 with 88 hits and 10 home runs. He has knocked in 43 runs and scored 51 times.
