Royals Earn 7-4 Win Against Braves
|
The Kansas City Royals downed the Atlanta Braves, 7-4, in 10 innings. Eobanus Miller led the way, going 3-for-5 for Kansas City. Kansas City pitcher Brandon Pello got the win, upping his record to 2-2. James Shields got the loss. The Royals saw their win-loss record go to 44-42. At the same time, the Braves fell to 48-37.
Miller had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 changeup from James Shields, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Royals a 7-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Miller.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Miller.
