Lohse Shuts Out San Diego, 6-0
|
Kyle Lohse dominated the San Diego Padres with a brilliant 5-hit shutout in the 6-0 Florida Marlins triumph at Dolphin Stadium. The Florida hurler fanned 8 and walked 0 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," Padres skipper Luis DeLeon said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
This year, Lohse has 7 wins and 4 losses and a 4.15 ERA.
