Pirates Garcia Snags PIO Player of the Week

In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Luis Garcia of St. Louis recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Pioneer League Player of the Week Award.
"I've been playing since I was a kid," Garcia told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success."
Garcia outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 16 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run, and 6 RBIs to stake his claim to the award.
So far this year, Garcia has hit .346 with 9 home runs, 49 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
