Irving Wins 2022 World Series! Wednesday, October 12th , 2022 The Irving Baycats pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the World Series in a hard-fought series with the Scott City Broncos. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 6-3 victory at Broncos Field, Irving lay claim to the franchise's 3rd championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Jeremy Wenger. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 71-60 and claimed second place in the Sub League 1 West Division. A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Irving in the days to come. |
