Injury Sidelines Fish for Season

Jason Fish has to call it a season. The Memphis Porkers starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 04/11/2023 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a damaged elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13-14 months.

The team will likely place Fish on the injured list today.
5-Hit Barrage by bin Mufeed

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Tarik bin Mufeed. bin Mufeed went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Midway, Smith County pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Midway, Smith County Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the St. Petersburg Royals had a win, 6-0, over the Champions.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Tarik bin Mufeed singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bartlomiej Urbaniec in the 9th.
