Jones 5-for-6 Against Colorado Springs
|
Richwood center fielder Bryan Jones could do no wrong in his team's 16-1 win over the Enforcers, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Enforcers skipper said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Jones agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Bryan Jones hit a GRAND SLAM off Nick Vega in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Brandon Smith in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
This season, Jones has delivered 68 hits in 212 at-bats for a .321 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .366 clip and his totals also include 45 RBIs and 37 runs scored. This year Jones has played in 50 games.
