Ruchendorf Nabs WL Most Valuable Player Award
Wednesday, October 15th , 2042
At the age of 26, Reinhart Ruchendorf of the Lakewood Archers could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2042 was good enough to win the center fielder the Western League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .300 batting average this year, as well as a .373 on-base percentage. He played 129 games and racked up 154 hits, 40 doubles, 8 triples, 25 home runs, 73 RBIs and 101 runs scored.
He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 20. Francisco Guzman of the Arlington Stars finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Shane Robles of the Lakewood Archers finished third.
