Harman Slaps 5 Hits
The Racine Bruins stopped the Fort Lauderdale Gators by a score of 11-8 at Goats Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to reliever Tim Harman. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Harman said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Harman did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Gators.

"Not much that I can say," offered Fort Lauderdale manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Tim Harman hit a two-run home run off Doug Ives in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Glen LaPointe in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.

Harman has gone to the hill for 6 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-0 record with a 7.88 ERA. The Racine reliever has limited opposing batters to a .343 batting average.
