Pavlik Wins SL1 Top Pitcher Award Sunday, July 1st , 2001 Roger Pavlik had a very good June and has been rewarded with the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Month Award. The Aurora bullpen specialist was very effective, constantly coming in and getting his club out of trouble or protecting a one-run or two-run lead. The Rainiers ace starred with 10 saves in 13 relief appearances, logging 16 innings, 19 strikeouts, 2 walks and a 1.12 ERA. Pavlik finished the month with 2 wins and no losses -- and was named the league's best pitcher. For the year Pavlik has 12 saves in 24 relief appearances with a 2-2 mark and 1.59 ERA. |
