Ruckus Reaps 2-Game Suspensions Sunday, July 29th , 2001 A bench-clearing brawl marred the Aurora-Spokane game at Rainiers Grove yesterday and resulted in two players being suspended today by the league office. The Rainiers Donaldo Mendez and the Sluggers Jim Unknown were ejected from the game for fighting. Both players will have to sit out 2 games. Mendez is hitting at a .269 mark this season. His stats show 5 home runs, 24 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has played 59 games for the Rainiers. |
