DuBose Hits in 20 Straight Games
Monday, July 2nd , 2007
Just like "Old Man River," Zachary DuBose just keeps on rolling along.
The veteran Donora right fielder stretched his hitting streak to 20 games at Axemen Grounds. He went 1-for-3 as the Jackrabbits seized the 12-4 win over the Smith Corner Axemen.
"This one is for anybody who said 38 is too old to be playing baseball," he joked with reporters. Zachary DuBose walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th and struck out in the 5th.
This season, DuBose has hit at a .381 clip and produced 23 RBI, 9 home runs and 19 runs.
