Big Day with Bat: Phillips 5-for-6 Sunday, May 12th , 2002 Brandon Phillips said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Isotopes Grounds, and it showed in the box score. The Kemmerer second baseman had a fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Santa Clarita Isotopes, leading his club to victory, 13-10. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Phillips said later." Brandon Phillips singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Phillips currently has a .369 batting average with 48 hits, 1 homers, 12 RBIs, 19 runs scored and a .401 OBP. |
