Cox Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games

Chalk up another one for Glendale Bees first baseman Steve Cox. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Cox went 2-for-4 in today's game at Honolulu Stadium but saw his club defeated, 5-4, by the host Honolulu Black Dogs.

"Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Bees manager Eddy Bajana said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one."
Steve Cox hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 8th.

This year, Cox is hitting at a .397 pace with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 26 times.
