The number just keeps getting higher.

Honolulu third baseman Wilton Veras has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 5 at-bats as the Honolulu took the 9-7 win over the St. Paul Chanticleers at Honolulu Stadium.

"Who knows how long it will go on?" St. Paul manager John Garcia said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now."
Wilton Veras singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

Veras is presently hitting at a .368 pace with 6 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 50 times.
