San Francisco Breaks Through for First Win in World Series; Now Trails 2-1
The San Francisco Giants have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Toronto Blue Jays, winning 11-4 at SkyDome today. Giants designated hitter Juan Gonzalez went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Giants to 2-1 in the best-of-7 World Series.

Gonzalez had a clutch at-bat in the top of the seventh for the Giants. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and San Francisco trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.

"We're happy," Gonzalez told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at SkyDome in Toronto.
