Giants Get Past Houston for 7-6 Win
The timely hitting of Cliff Floyd helped the San Francisco Giants down the Houston Astros, 7-6. Floyd was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times for the Giants. A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Astros allowed the Giants to score the winning run.
