Biggio Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cubs
|
Chicago Cubs starter Mark Redman pitched a strong game against the Montreal Expos at Wrigley Field, leading the Cubs to victory, 3-2. Chicago reliever Travis Miller picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. John Halama took the loss. The win gives Chicago a season record of 55-55.
Chicago won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and John Halama on the mound for Montreal, second baseman Craig Biggio hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Cubs fans to their feet.
Biggio said his team "played with determination."
