Mariners Lose By a Run at Texas, 5-4
The Texas Rangers did just enough to secure a victory over the Seattle Mariners, 5-4, at Arlington Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Jackson. With their winning streak at 4, the Rangers have raced to a strong start this season.

Texas took a 5-4 lead on Chipper Jones's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Seattle pitcher Jon Lieber in the bottom of the seventh.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Texas manager Marty Campo.
