June's #1 BCL Rookie Named Sunday, July 1st , 2029 This month the Baseball Challenge League spotlight fell on Tatsuya Imai of the Tochigi Golden Braves. What a June he had! A fine 5-0 won-lost record, 3.02 ERA, 6 starts, 50.2 innings and 47 strikeouts -- a month good enough to get him the BCL Rookie of the Month. So far this year Imai has made 12 starts, tossed 100 innings, struck out 94 batters and walked 30. His record is 10-1 with a 2.07 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .230 batting average. |
