Nyatui 5-for-6 for Koffiefontein Friday, September 9th , 2039 Yusufu Nyatui exploded for a barrage of base hits today at 76ers Stadium. The Koffiefontein third baseman had a field day in the 16-2 triumph over the Groblersdal 76ers, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Nyatui must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Yusufu Nyatui hit a solo-shot off Steve Dale in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Steve Dale in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. This season Nyatui has hit at a .300 clip and produced 56 RBI, 21 home runs and 81 runs. View Boxscore |
