3 Bombs for Darius Dixon Friday, July 29th , 2039 Darius Dixon showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Philadelphia W (CMPX) Phillies and sparked the Blue Jays to a 12-4 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at TD Ballpark." For the day, Dixon collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 6 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Toronto (CMPX) skipper Cristobal Rodriguez said. "Darius really put on a show." Darius Dixon hit a two-run home run off Jose Chinchilla in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Chinchilla in the 4th, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jon Meadors in the 8th. This year Dixon has socked 45 hits in 108 at-bats for a .417 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .484 pace and his totals also include 34 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
