Barrios's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Friday, June 24th , 2039 Jesus Barrios's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-4 in a 6-1 Hickory Crawdads triumph over the West Virginia Power at L.P. Frans Stadium. The 24-year-old shortstop has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Crawdads. Jesus Barrios grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. In 58 games this season Barrios has batted at a .256 pace with 62 hits and 6 home runs. |
