Reliever of the Year Goes to Vazquez Friday, September 30th , 2039
When Alexis Vazquez jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs.
The Fort Wayne TinCaps reliever turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the Midwest League Reliever of the Year winner for 2039.
His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 4 saves in 39 relief appearances, 109 strikeouts in 76.1 innings and only 31 walks. He had a record of 3 wins and 2 losses to go with his 1.77 ERA.
"I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said.
