Whitecaps Hite to Miss Year
Wednesday, August 24th , 2039
West Michigan reliever Danny Hite could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Kane County game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Hite would be out 14 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Taking a look at his season, Hite has made 5 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark and a 6.35 ERA. In pitching 5.2 innings, he has totaled 8 strikeouts and 3 walks.
