Elliott Torches Whitecaps for 5 Hits Friday, June 17th , 2039 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Kevin Elliott today. Elliott went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off West Michigan pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Fifth Third Ballpark, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Fort Wayne TinCaps had a 4-2 victory over the Whitecaps. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Kevin Elliott singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Elliott is batting .333 with 7 hits and 1 home run.
