Lakeland Takes Round 1 Saturday, September 8th , 2040 The Lakeland Flying Tigers are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Clearwater Threshers. Lakeland wrapped up the series sweep with a 7-0 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Willie Caez, who was named series MVP. For the series, Caez hit .467 with a .438 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Lakeland Flying Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Jupiter Hammerheads - St. Lucie Mets series. St. Lucie leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
