Mudcats Listless in 10-0 Loss to Wood Ducks Wednesday, September 14th , 2039 Down East Wood Ducks starter Jim Nixon really did a number on the Carolina Mudcats today, shutting them out 10-0 on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 10 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Carolina manager J.T. Restko. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Nixon." This season Nixon has made no relief appearances and has no saves. His record is 14-10 with 204 strikeouts in 211.1 innings with a 3.41 ERA. View Boxscore |
