Galeno Grabs IL Reliever of the Year Thursday, October 6th , 2039 Ricky Galeno was dominant and cool under pressure this year, and his standout performance has earned the Syracuse Mets reliever recognition as the 2039 International League Reliever of the Year. "I was just doing my job, and my job is to get people out," said the 32-year-old out of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The award winner made 60 relief appearances this year and had 34 saves. He fanned 138 batters in 105.1 innings, with 32 walks. He pitched to a record of 6 wins and 3 losses to go with his 2.31 ERA. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 14.
