Landon Leach Plans to Retire Sunday, August 21st , 2039 It's a somber day for Clippers fans as Landon Leach announced that he will retire at the end of the 2039 season. The Columbus reliever attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." Leach has a career record of 1-5 with a 4.10 ERA. In 59 games he has recorded 8 saves and the 40-year-old has 50 strikeouts in 83.1 innings of work. |
