Monday, November 14th , 2039
An old hand in this game, Bobby Belmonte of the St. Louis Cardinals silenced critics as well as he silenced the opposition this year by winning the National League Cy Young Award.

The 35-year-old starter threw 233.2 innings, notched 313 strikeouts and put up a 18-8 record to claim the coveted award.

John Pittman of the Pittsburgh Pirates finished second in voting, while Jim Spaur of the Pittsburgh Pirates finished third.
