Sharp Grabs AL Reliever of the Year
Monday, November 14th , 2039
When Mike Sharp jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs.
The Baltimore Orioles closer turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the American League Reliever of the Year winner for 2039.
His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 30 saves in 56 relief appearances, 106 strikeouts in 62 innings and only 18 walks. He had a record of 6 wins and 4 losses to go with his 2.76 ERA.
"I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said.
Ben Maurice of the New York Yankees finished second in voting, while Dave Bernal of the New Orleans Voodoo finished third.
