Expos Win Wild Card Round Friday, October 7th , 2039 A classic and dramatic Wild Card Round has wrapped up, with the Montreal Expos outlasting the Seattle Mariners to advance to the Divisional Series Round. Montreal won the final game by a score of 10-9 and took the series 2-1. "We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Montreal left fielder Frank Vergara, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP. Vergara hit .462 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Montreal Expos will play against the New Orleans Voodoo in the next round.
