Colorado Sweeps into the Divisional Series Round Wednesday, October 5th , 2039 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the National League Wild Card Round. It turned out quite a bit different. The Colorado Rockies swept aside the Milwaukee Brewers to advance to the Divisional Series Round, winning the final game by a 2-1 score at Colorado Field. The series MVP was first baseman Jim Marcum, who hit .286 with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it." The Colorado Rockies will play against the New York Mets in the next round.
