Lafnear Named September's #1 Newcomer Saturday, October 1st , 2039 Phil Lafnear of the Boston Red Sox nabbed the Rookie of the Month honors for September in the American League. Posting a .302 average last month, he collected 32 hits, 14 home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This season Lafnear has banged out 142 hits in 503 at-bats for a .282 average with 45 home runs. He is getting on base at a .345 pace and his totals also include 120 RBIs and 87 runs scored. |
